I have always planned to be respectful, dutiful, and trustworthy in all situations I may come across. Good character will eventually lead to strong leadership which is one of my future goals. I’ve always wanted to be the leader of my own company or organization and by building character, most of the time through service projects, I gain practice to put towards my goal.
The National Honor Society is preeminent for recognizing students with imminent grades and honorable characters, I believe this organization makes a great impact in the community and helps in the overall betterment of the student as well. I would like to be assimilated in these community services to my school and to my community. I have heard how this club makes a person a better leader with a good character and discipline. I have been looking forward to this opportunity since the beginning of High School. To me, NHS’s four pillars are essential elements to being a member of this society.

It is an immense honor and privilege to be invited to be a member of this association, and it would be an even greater honor to actively participate and add to the existing society in ACST. Joining the National Honor Society would help me grow as a person and allow me to demonstrate the 4 pillars of NHS, in effect helping our school community and region in general. Leadership and service are both exhibited by all NHS members. This year, I have been starting to become both a silent and appointed leader in class.

The four founding values of national honor society are; scholarship, leadership, character, and service. These fundamental ideals have helped me to achieve my goal to be more involved in the community, by helping others and being a friend to everyone around me. Interacting with people I am not usually around, has helped me to see a different perspective in life, allowing me to be understanding of difficult situations that people are in, and still treating them the same way I would a long-time friend. This has also helped me to compare my life to theirs, making me thankful for those who have given me assistance when I was in need. Additionally, I have been able to learn how to be responsible and organized, as well as prepared, after having

I will commit myself to do my very best at every task that is given to me.
Considering my change over the four years of high school, it is easy to identify the influence of the four pillars of National Honor Society. The first pillar, scholarship, highlights a commitment to learning and education. Overtime, I have striven to take rigorous courses in order to strengthen my knowledge. Although these classes challenged me, I was always able to persevere and make the desired grades. This was attained by seeking the help of my teachers, friends, diligence, and hard work.

Scholarship means not only doing well in school and getting good grades, but applying what I have learned and using it everyday. I know the importance of education and feel that I am a lifelong learner. I feel very fortunate to have been raised in a family where education is a priority.
Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I believe that it is very important to use your education to make an impact on the world, which is developed through scholarship. While I do demonstrate all of the pillars of the National Honor Society, the one that I most exemplify is scholarship. Throughout my grade school years, I have shown scholarship.
