1. Explain what the phrase “taking ownership of your learning” means to you.
As a learner, I believe that students have to define their intention of studying to know the importance of their academic; measure what the outcome of the learning process will yield; align their studies with their personal goals and also adapt to the new discoveries of what they learned. Therefore, when a student knows the outcome of their learning process or academic goal, he/she tend not to procrastinate on certain issues but rather engage when necessary and also, the student who takes ownership of their learning is apt to perform better because they already know that their academics are important and they can go an extra mile to get a project done, sponsor themselves

I believe on being self-motivated to learn and understand that’s why I aligned my academic goals with my personal interest in other to enable me to execute what I have learned when necessary rather than expecting grades without knowledge. Although grades may also be required in certain areas of life since knowledge is power, it will be declared as awkwardness to obtain grades without executing knowledge or making an impact.

Often times it is important to consider the way we come encounter with a certain situation and assess them based on fact. Thinking deeper about important issues and drawing connections will help to maintain the flow of my personal focus. For instance, I do engage in self-advice to encourage and/or motivate myself towards achieving my personal goals because it is a better way to avoid distractions in life and stick to my plan.
