Why is it important to understand the customer?

It is important to listen to your customers because this tells them that they are important, showing them that you care. Doing so will help you with customer loyalty. Customer loyalty will give you more business because those customers are sure to tell other people about you and what you have to offer them. It is also important to show your customers that you are open to change. Show them that you can be flexible and can take suggestions, this will definitely attract more consumers because they see that you are willing to listen to their needs. In other words, the people working with me need to have these things in order for us to be successful in what we do. Our main focus is the customer and we need to make sure that they are happy and convinced with the product we have to offer them. Everything listed has a way of benefitting the business. Which not only makes them a ‘want’ but a ‘need’. Number one says the people hired must have long-term potential. In other words they need to be convinced that this is what they want to do. Therefore, they will work their hardest to get to the top by making the business better. Doing all they can to benefit the customer. Then there is the ability to work well with others. Doing so will make the workplace more productive, allowing ideas to flow, and money to be made. Another want/need is the ability to make money. Making money is one of the most important things in a business. Without money possibilities become scarce, and all businesses are doomed to fail. Another thing that really matters is their resume. If they prove that they have the experience, this brings promise to the business/organization because they are welcoming someone that knows what to do and what not to do in order to help the business reach its full potential.
