“With the 29th pick in the 1962 draft the Detroit Pistons select Reggie Harding from Martin Luther King High School, in Detroit Michigan.” How would you feel if you witnessed the first player drafted out of highschool? I know I would be very impressed. I would be impressed because for one you have to be very good at the sport to be playing against other players whose average age is 28 years old, when you are only 18 to 20 years old. Another thing I am impressed about is how he convinced his parents to let him skip college I would totally let him skip college to go to the NBA if I were his parents, after all, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The last thing I am happy for him is because he will be making a lot of money which can go towards things that our world needs like charity's or orphanages. If you go straight to the NBA your skill level will increase faster, this is why High School players should be able to go straight to the NBA, for instance, a college team can only practice up to 20 hours per week while an NBA team has no limit on how much they practice.
