1.1 Describe factors that cause stress in work environment where you are doing your in-service?
Multiple reporting lines: According to (Scouts, 2011) working in the communications department which actually has a link to all project regions within my working environment, each manager tends to be asking for their work to be prioritized. This leads to an overload of work, the stress builds up as one tries to do everything all at the same time and having an overload of work. Taking some work home just to be able to meet the deadline increase the pressure which results in lack of sleep. Being an intern you are afraid to complain about the overwhelming tasks and disappointing your employer and causes extensive stress.

Pacesetting management Style
Pacesetting leadership is defined by personal high standards, similar high standards for direct reports, and independent work. In many ways, a leader that leads by pacesetting, is leading primarily by example. To earn respect, pacesetters believe that they must first do something to get that respect from their direct reports. That need turns into an example-based style of leadership where the leader won’t ask anyone to do what they’re not willing to do themselves. (Pacesetting leadership style, 2014)
The pacesetting style has the primary objective of accomplishing tasks to a high standard of excellence:
•The “do it myself” manager
•Performs many tasks personally and expects employees to follow his/her example
•Motivates by setting high standards and expects self-direction from employees

• People are highly motivated, competent
