First, I would like to thank you for considering me for the position as a Family Attorney at your firm, I have spent several years of my life trying to prepare myself for this position. I believe that I would be the best fit for this job because of my educational background, work experience, and the passion I have for the job. During my time at Faulkner University I was at the top of my class with a 4.0 GPA. I was in the National Honor Society where I stood as President. During my time as president of the honor society I was able to receive an additional scholarship for outstanding leadership. I was involved with several student associations in my undergrad years. While working at Korol and Velen I worked as a secretary, where I would create spreadsheets and presentations for the senior lawyers. Creating these spreadsheets and presentations gave me the inside access of what information lawyers needed to persuade the judge and win cases. Working this job gave me an advantage over other applicants as a result, I know all the work and preparation it takes for a case. After a year of working as a secretary I was able to shadow the senior lawyers during their cases. While shadowing the lawyers I learned a great deal of information about the process of family court cases. Working with these high experienced lawyers I saw how divorce, child custody, and even child abuse cases are handled. Since these cases are very strenuous they have to be handled carefully by a person with experience. When choosing a career such as a Family Attorney you have to have the drive and passion for it. Ever since I was in the 7th grade I knew that I wanted to become an attorney. There where times were I would sit and watch court cases all night because I was so intrigued. Even as just a high school student I would see situations such as, child abuse that would bother me, I knew that one day I was going to have the power to do something about things such as child abuse. During my free time I find myself researching different court cases, trying to prepare myself for actual cases that I will one day work
