Romeo and Juliet is a story of love and death, but who is to blame for their deaths? Romeo and Juliet is the story of two lovers who are on opposite sides. The Capulet’s were one side being Juliet and the Montague’s being Romeo. These 2 families were in conflict, therefore Romeo and Juliet were not able to love each other the same way. This led to their deaths, but it was not really the cause. Friar Lawrence is the person to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because he not only married Romeo and Juliet but also made a potion that killed Juliet, making Romeo think that Juliet was dead and causing the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo now not knowing about the plan and going straight to the place where Juliet lies causes Friar Lawrence to also go to the same place, thinking about Romeo not knowing about the plan but where he gets there after it was too late to save Romeo he says this to Juliet. “I hear some noise.— Lady, come from that nest of death, contagion, and unnatural sleep. A greater power than we can contradict has thwarted our intentions. He left because he was afraid of the people that were coming and getting caught as the person who killed Romeo and Juliet, but we all know that even if he didn't kill them with his hands, he killed them with his actions because if Friar Lawrence had just not left, he would have been able to at least save Juliet from killing herself after finding out that Romeo was dead, so if Friar Lawrence had never left because he was so scared, maybe only one of Romeo and Juliet would have
