Georgia Tech Personal Statement

Ever since a young age, I have been fascinated by the stars above and the majestic spacecraft that can help humans close the gap between planet Earth and those bright orbs in the sky. When I was just eight years old, I attended space camp in Huntsville, Alabama for the first time, and I instantly knew what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to be an aerospace engineer, so that I could someday work with rockets daily and eventually fly in one of these rockets myself. That dream has not diminished as I have gotten older, but instead, it has intensified. I have become a passionate, determined, well-rounded student that will positively impact the Georgia Tech community through my passions for aerospace engineering and someday changing the world. At Georgia Tech, I will strive to not only be an amazing student, but also someone who positively impacts the community. This starts with giving back to the community through free tutoring for students who are struggling in their classes, and additionally, helping organize job fairs and other student …show more content…

With tools including published professors and the invention studio, I hope to use these tools to participate in the InVenture Prize and additionally to assist professors in research that I am passionate about. As expressed earlier, I intend to major in aerospace engineering, and it is the skills learned through this degree that I believe will help me create a multitude of impactful solutions such as the rockets that will someday reach the surface of Mars and far beyond as well as the habitats that will sustain life once humans reach these planets. Additionally, I hope to create reliable, cheap renewable energy resources.
