Global Warming Persuasive Essay

Our whole lives we have lived under the creeping thought that us as humans are destroying earth’s ice caps and in turn all polar bears’ homes. But what if I told you that we have been told a lie our entire lives? If ones forgot about what news social media and highway banners say regarding global warming and open-mindedly looked at the “cold” hard facts that science and extensive research has concluded, then maybe my argument would not seem as brash as someone think. These scientific findings will prove to anyone reading this that global warming is the worst scientific scandal of all the time. I’ve also attached regions to be vigilant citizens and should realize how our world cube has been subjected in the global media message which has resulted …show more content…

Scientists hypothesized the carbon dioxide gas (CO2) and was the cause of the ozone layer deteriorating. The ozone layer is a thin layer of gas surrounding earth’s atmosphere which keeps in heat from the sun and blocks out the sun’s harmful rays. The process by which the ozone layer traps heat from the sun is termed the “Green House Effect”. John Sawyer was one of this first scientists to publish a book in which he stated that in the near future, a 25% increase in the combustion of fossil fuels which emits CO2 gas into the atmosphere as a by-product due to the burning of coal on steam boats and trains .which would result in the ozone layer deteriorating, would heat up the earth’s over all temperature by 0.6C. At this time the news media published his work but delivered John Sawyer’s findings in a highly exaggerated manner which sparked the modern-day idea of global …show more content…

But an increasing amount of scientists are arguing that this is at best an unproven theory, a theory that politicians, the media, and countless ‘go green’ organizations have used and exaggerated in order to manipulate the masses. The public’s perspective on global warming has not changed since the 1970’s. In recent years (2007-2008), scientists have found that earth’s global average temperature had dropped from 14.88C to 13.9C, but as the article published by Climatologist Cliff Harris and Meteorologist Randy Mann sate that since then, 2008 to 2016, sea and land temperature have steadily risen to 14.83C, but then within a year temperatures dropped, once again, down to 14.7C. These findings don’t make sense? If global warming were true, then shouldn’t the average temperature be rising more and more? The fact is that our earth takes care of itself, it is one huge ecosystem which contains many ecosystems within itself. Cliff Harris stated that, “Our earth seems to be in a cycle of constant change”. Our earth goes through stages where the temperature rises and falls but has stayed relatively the same throughout
