Bethel Baptist Church never encountered a challenge like this before. The church accepted an invitation to participate in a mission in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Making an appearance in a foreign environment terrified both adolescents and adults. Even with those uneasy feelings, the congregation quickly zeroed in on the goal at hand in spreading God’s love to this needy region. With events such as church cleanup, food ministry, and disaster relief, the church left with a greater appreciation of life, and how lucky many of the citizens in the United States truly are.
Living Hope Charity (LHC) is an excellent charitable organization, providing a range of support, education and community services that improve the lives of children, youths and their families. LHC was established in 1992, with significantly growth in the past 25 years, the supporting departments and infrastructures have been fallen behind. For instance, employees have to submit their timesheets by a piece of paper twice a month in order to account and report their worked hours. The payroll accountants will enter timesheets in one system, export the results and import them into the other system, and then process information onto their own system. All three systems need the same information to operate, but there is no linkage among all of them,

The thrift stores ' garbage bins continue to pile up with unwanted donations from the donors rather than the garbage from the store itself. There are several major concerns behind this issue that needs considerable amount of attention. The fundamental reason for increasing unwanted donation in the Salvation Army thrift store is lacking encouragement for good donations.
I am the community service chair for the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha at the University of Nebraska Omaha. During my time in this position, I have held multiple donation
In my freshman year, I made a choice to relinquish some of my social life and replace that time giving back to my community. I joined a non-profit organization called the Volunteer Corp. We spent our time at food banks, park clean-ups, and even hosting local events. This experience left a lasting impression on me in many ways; however, one experience changed my perspective on life and serve as a constant reminder of how the smallest contribution to others can be the most powerful. St. Joseph University, in Philadelphia, held an event called Hand in Hand. It was an event dedicated to raising awareness for people with physical and/or developmental disabilities.
There are three marketing strategies the Salvation Army uses that are advertising, fundraising and promotions. Firstly, the Salvation Army uses advertising strategies to get noticed by the right people at the right time and it uses these strategies to present their products or services more easily and clearly. Also, it helps the company to deliver their story to current customers through appropriate media. The Salvation Army usually uses vivid and impressive advertising to awaken the public’s sympathy and desire to help people who are suffering from poverty and homeless.
The Bengal Tiger’s Benevolent Charity No birds, no insects, no squirrels; no beast to see except one adult Bengal tiger only a couple feet in front of point blank range. A sight horrid enough to shut down the throbbing of the heart, but also a sight benevolent enough to reassure one man in God. In the novel Life of Pi by Yann Martel, an adolescent named Piscine Patel, also known as Pi Patel, gets stranded on a lifeboat with no company except that of a Bengal tiger in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This tiger does not only end up becoming one of Pi’s biggest obstacles of survival, but also his inspiring companion and friend.

Have you ever seen a city packed with over 15,000 people wearing red shirts, serving their community? Well, this year I was able to be apart of it. Thanks to Church of the Highlands, based out of Birmingham, Alabama, lead by senior pastor Chris Hodges we were able to make this happen. Through encouragement of the church I was able to serve in its annual “Serve Day,” in Ensley, Alabama, contributing my skills of grass cutting, painting walls, and playing with children. This hot mid-July day started just like any other in Alabama.
To volunteer, I had to communicate through email. I had to email the head of administration, Terri Lightle, at the Good Shepherd Alliance. Terri was very welcoming when she responded to my email, and informed me of all the volunteer opportunities at the Good Shepherd Alliance, which included volunteering at their thrift store, event planning, and various other events already planned by other caring volunteers. With all of these options, I decided that I would help in the thrift store. This was an easy way to get involved, and use some of my already developed skills.
charity is always good, but not everyone. Some argue that charity is sometimes carried out badly, while others think that charity can bring bad results even when it is well implemented. Charity may not provide the best solution to a problem. For every act of charity, applied to heal suffering arising from defective arrangements of society, serves to weaken the personal springs of social reform. Charity to support essential services is bad because it switches provision from government to charity, rather than increasing benefits to the needy.
