In the movie V for Vendetta, we saw the government violating many articles from the universal declaration of human rights, I have chosen to dig deeper into article 3 which is about the right to life, liberty, and personal security. Article 3 was violated because the people in the movie were not actually living. To live isn’t just about having a beating heart, the right to a life is about having infinite choices. In the movie, the people had a defined amount of choices because the government was controlling them. They were managing them by keeping them apart from music, art, and books, and having curfews and secret policemen who are listening in on everyone's discussions to see if they are doing anything that could be a threat to the government. …show more content…
Child labor and trafficking are two of the most accurate and well-hidden factors in our society that is violating article three. In trafficking men and women are being used sexually, in crime and in forced labor. Men and women are often subjected to threats, rape, assault, torture, and humiliation. If these victims are lucky they can go back home but unfortunately, not everyone would be welcomed home by open arms because they would be portrayed as something to be ashamed of because he/she was sexually abused. Why does trafficking exist? The reason why this exists is that of poverty which is very accurate in our society. the victims of human trafficking often come from places where there is a high rate of poverty. when there is a high rate of poverty there is a low rate of education, most of these victims lack education. the lack of education makes it easier for people like pimps to make empty promises to children or women that if they work with them they will become a model or they would get a much steadier life than they have now. in some cases the parents send their child away because they hope that the children would at least get a full stomach if they go
