Eagerness to learn, attention to details, and willingness to put in required effort and time, all qualities I wish to continue to practice as a student in AP English 12. As a student of organization and willingness to participate in classroom discussions and interactions, I believe those attributes of me as a student set me up for success in this class. My enthusiasm in learning has been a leading factor in my decision to apply for this rigorous course my senior year. While there are other options available this is the course best suited for me due to my attention to details and readiness to dedicate time and effort into this class. As an AP English student I am mainly interested in continuing to practice and develop reading and writing skills
When you are enrolled in the same school district with the same classmates and the same buildings for all of your life, you begin to crave diversity. I have been surrounded by brilliant people who have influenced me to become the person that I am today and have been supported by my school district that constantly builds me up, and for that I am appreciative. Consequently, all of the qualities that my hometown instilled in me have prepared me for something extraordinary. The Craft Academy is an immense step for not only my career, but to the people closest to me. As much as my family and friends would yearn for me to stay home, they have encouraged me to pursue whatever I put my mind to.
Apart from countless extracurricular I partake in within my high school community, I have also volunteered at the Toronto Durgabari (Hindu temple), Woodhall Park Care Community, worked at Yogen Fruz, as well as currently working at McDonalds. Upon my participation in organizing and planning events at my temple I was able to learn to cooperate in a large group of people in which my leadership skill were enhanced among others. After my volunteer work among my religious community, I was molded into an active citizen and built virtues including integrity, gratitude, humility, etc. In addition, after receiving my first job and being apart of a team that works together to achieve a common corporate goal not only implemented a sense of discipline
I want to join Craft & Design program in Sheridan because it offers opportunities to be creative, innovative, and learn the skills to bring
What would you say is your greatest talent or skill is?How have you developed and demonstrated that talent over time. A talent that I have is working and riding motorcycles. The main purpose and goal of education is to strengthen the human mind in developing the skills, the knowledge, and an easier way to learn how to deal with specific life challenges that are faced day to day. Education is not about getting ready for life, education is something that never ends. If someone is educated or not, it is clearly shown because education stands out in every person that has it. Being educated is a gift that goes on for life, because every day there is always something knew to learn about. It is like an endless cycle.
The majority of kids in our society live at home, attending a school within driving distance from their house until they graduate high school. However, this is where I differ from a normal high schooler. I was born and raised in Grimes, Iowa, and the thought of leaving my family and friends before I graduated high school had never crossed my mind. That was until I became a freshman in high school and began to feel like I needed something more.
Medicine and science are undeniably inseparable entities. Scientific advances and discoveries will invariably influence a career in the medical profession. This was a fact I learned early on during my undergraduate career. However, my passion for science spans further than using it as a means to an end. The process of coming up with theories and conducting experiments enthralls me.
My plans for my four years in high school are to keep a G.P.A of 4.0, get involved as much as I can, pass all my state exams, take at least one honor class, get reassigned to just an English class, and get financial aid for my college education. To begin with, in my first year in high school,as a freshmen,I would like to get involve first and get to know how everything works at my new school, so in my next three years I can do more activities without neglecting my education, which will be easier because I’ll be already used to most of the things at Granite Hills. During my freshmen year, I just want to focus on school, dedicating all my time to homework, classwork, extra credit assignments, and tutoring (if needed). I’ll be putting extra
In elementary school, the concluding bell signals an exodus from learning that my peers desperately anticipate. However, I did not resemble the typical student as I dreaded the end of the school day because it indicated the commencement of labor at my parents’ restaurant. While my classmates cherished the evening by relaxing in the blissful tranquility of rural Indiana, I would arrive from school to assist my parents by preparing food or taking orders from customers too weary to cook dinner themselves. Each evening I would spot my classmates engaging in an epic struggle of hide and seek while I was imprisoned in the restaurant to support the family venture. Although my family possessed a business, our unstable economic situation constantly
If I am successful in being selected for the graduate program, I hope to gain knowledge in the fields of insurance, international business, organizational behavior, strategy, operations and management. I feel that I am the best candidate because I’m a very motivated worker and although I’m new to the world insurance, I’m not new thinking strategically and analytically. During my time interning at Young & Rubicam, I realized how much strategic thinking and planning went into marketing and I’m excited by the prospect of bringing this same level of thinking and enthusiasm to this new opportunity. Therefore, I believe this position is a great fit for me. There are a lot of reasons which attracted me towards the graduate program such as exposure in different departments, and the opportunity to gain exposure in the London office.
Vision without action is unproductive dreaming. Action without vision is a waste of time. Yet, vision with action can change the world. This one concept is one of the keys to my past successes, and helps to explain my dreams and why I seek a master degree in Business Administration from Chapman University. My vision has always been to gain both the theoretical and practice knowledge I need to be a successful person.
Statement of Personal Achievements It was the end of my junior year of high school that I decided to immigrate to the United States. I was motivated to come to America from Hong Kong for my education. I also aimed to broaden my perspective on life. As a new immigrant and young adult, my life completely changed within these two years.
Education is something that is different for every person. It helps us to grow, evolve, and become the people that we are today. While education is an obvious benefit for the advancement of society, there are severe downfalls of the current methods of teacher set in place. In my personal experiences however, one of the most interesting projects I was given the opportunity to complete was in United States history class. While the project was time-consuming, and often difficult, the fact that I was able to chose my own topic, explore a subject of personal interest, and make connections to myself, and the world around me had a positive influence of my education.
I feel now very comfortable with the software but before I advance more of my digital skills, I need to get my technical side and traditional area of art to a high standard, I know how important it is to have the fundamentals and core skills to be able to get far and I know progressing on to this course, I will be able experiment and become all rounded as an artist and create my own style in the process. In year 10, I decided to get more of a creative work experience at NJlive which is creative events organisation. From my experience, not only did I get to see first-hand the way a creative business functions and what I could be doing in the future. I helped design posters for a beer campaigns and created presentations for their research on venues for an event to take place and personally got to visits their venues designed creatively for a specific
