Overall I think that our group did well on presenting our belief, “When a student behavioral issue occurs, teachers should look for all possible explanations of the problem.” Our group provided research in our power-point presentation that helped prove why we agree with the belief. We were able to give a background summary on our group belief survey essay that would help an audience better understand the belief and why we agree with it. Our group was also able to provide multiple anecdotes that helped support our stance on the belief and how it applies to students in a classroom. Our observations included both positive and negative impacts on students because of the teacher’s reaction to their behavior. From the anecdotes we were able to conclude that negative impacts on student’s behavior was due to the teacher trying to find a fast solution to their behavior problem. …show more content…
There were parent-teacher conferences, getting to know the student, developing relationships with the student, letting the child know that you care about their future, and many other resources. The presentation states three resources that teachers can go to if they need help or want to see examples of how to deal with behavioral issues in the classroom.
Our group touched on how different ideas on behavioral issues can affect parents, teachers, and students. The presentation gives clear and concise information on how to deal with behavioral issues and what the best actions to take are. We ended our presentation with more information that teachers or parents can look at to better to enable them to look for all explanations for behavioral problems, rather than jumping to conclusions and making rash decisions that could be detrimental for
