Executive Summary: This project primarily focuses on specific technologies that are being used in the modern business organizations and firms. The technology that we are explaining in this paper are used for supporting the business functions whether in accountancy, marketing, sales management or finance. All of these departments demand high usage of software development and data programming. This paper allows the reader to discuss how the practical implementations of these programs are applied within the company in order to support the decision-making within the firm.

SP Plus Corporation has one of the largest parking servicing company in the United States and Canada. The company’s headquarters are in Chicago and their industry relates to facilities services and serves as a public company. They were founded in 1929 and they have over 10,000 employees in their company. They specialize in parking management services, facility maintenance, transportation services, security services, and large venue event management. Their target markets include: “airports, hospitals, hotels, garage agencies, offices, residential, retails and universities” (SP Plus Corporation). Challenges faced by this company includes the recent update/change of their name from Standard Parking Corporation to SP Plus Corporation (SP Plus Corporation). At airports, SP+ supplies transportation services, maintenance of equipment, parking accommodations, creating marketing strategies to reach out to customers uniquely and offering safety by security for customers. In their parking management, they offer parking, valet parking, and self-parking areas for customers.
