One of the most controversial topics in the world that has been debated many years ago to today, is abortion. It is arguable whether or not it should be illegal or legal, but in the 20th and the 21st century, our views on the debated topic have drastically changed from how our society is growing and how the point of view of abortion has altered. The belief of abortion being right and wrong varies on age, gender, or what historian someone reads or listens to. Some historians base their beliefs on others, putting their own research or own belief in it to make it theirs. Heather Ault is an abortion activist, she states her opinion on abortion without putting her on a side of it being right or wrong. Ault has a website called “4000 Years for Choice” where she ends at 1973 with the Roe v. Wade trial and does 4000 years before that, discussing where abortion has been recorded anywhere in the world. She mostly does her timeline based on where the government has been involved in abortion issues. Ault starts her timeline in 3000 BCE where the Royal Archives of China hold the earliest record of abortion, but there is not a definite place where abortion started or began.
