This essay is all about abortion. Ill firstly be writing about the definition of abortion. Then the different types of abortion and explaining them, then how society is influenced by abortion (The positive and negative effects abortion has on society), the history of abortion and then the conclusion.
I firstly just want to start off this essay by saying that abortion is a choice. You are in control of your own body. A good definition for abortion is when you have a procedure (medically) that exterminates the foetus. The safest time to do this is between 8-12 weeks of being pregnant. Now there are 2 types of abortion procedures. In- clinic abortion and the abortion pill.

. When you are pregnant, you need your progesterone hormone so that you can normally grow, so then the mifepristone blocks your progesterone. The n what happens is you take the misoprostol pill 2nd, about 24-28 hours later but this time at home. The misoprostol pill then causes loads of cramping and bleeding. (This is the last stage of your medication abortion). This feeling is similar to a miscarriage or a very heavy period flow. Abortion allows society to make their own choices or have a wider variety of choices to do if they have a unwanted pregnancy (like if you have a disease that is then transmitted through to your baby (HIV) or you’ve found out you baby will have a disability of some sort this helps the person having the child to have an option to do what they think is right.
