Outline The Issue
Definition : The deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks.
Facts :
Abortion is fairly common, 30% of american women will have an abortion by the age of 45.
The reasons women abort children are that the child’s health might be bad, they are not ready to be a mother and many more.
Normally the fetus feels no pain during the process as the part of the brain which senses pain has not developed.
Abortions are safely done before the 12th week of the pregnancy.
Methods of Aborting :
Medication Abortion can be within 10 weeks from the last period, the individual is given an abortion pill in a doctor's office and will experience heavy bleeding and cramps within 1 - 4 hours of taking the pill. They will have a follow up appointment one week after.
Aspiration Abortion can be within 12 weeks from your last period, the process happens in a clinic or doctor’s office. The actual …show more content…

The Church states that it is a form of murder and murder is forbidden, it is also a cruel act killing a fetus. Catholics believe from conception until natural death the life is sacred and is God’s property and God is the only one who has power to end that life, no one else should have the decision to do this besides God. Pope John Paul II in 1995 stated that “I confirm that the direct and voluntary killing of an innocent human being is always gravely immoral.” In this statement he was clearly referring to abortion and euthanasia, he is strongly against abortion and euthanasia. The Church says that humans have one main right and that right is the right to live. Many individuals believe they should have the right to abort if the child they are bearing has a mental, physical or health disability but the Catholic Church says that the child is a gift from God and has equal value to any normal human
