Both Hinduism and Christianity are both universal religions. In both of these great religions we leave real freedom of choice in worship, in approaching that One Supreme Entity, that we call God. Hinduism has deities, ranging from 1,000 to 33 million gods, but all of them are just manifestations or symbols of the only absolute, and there are different ways to know and serve the only “Brahmin” or “the Father.” The 3 manifestations of Brahmin have similarities with the Christian “Holy Trinity.” The Brahma is like the Father, the Krishna is like the son, and the Shiva is like the Holy Spirit. Both religions identify an important expression of God’s nature as the Logos, God the son and the Om mantra, an eternal Word of Wisdom. Both religions believe that God became incarnate in our Universe as personal revelation of His wisdom. They believe this was possible through Jesus Christ in Christianity and Krishna in Hinduism. They differ from things like origins, views, and values. Hinduism embraces Christianity as a valid religion whereas the Bible does not. Hinduism is a religion that advocates tolerance. It teaches that all religions are different paths leading to one goal. All religions are different means to one end. Hinduism is not exclusive and accepts all religions as valid. Christianity, however, teaches that Jesus is the only way to God. Christians believe that to achieve enlightenment through receiving eternal life and salvation. In Hinduism, Hindus believe that one can achieve enlightenment through rituals, devotion to Hindu practices and meditation. The identities and views of Hinduism and Christianity are different and similar in many ways, but in the end both religions involve a strong faith and one can receive liberation in the end with
