With the evolution of digital technology in today's world, it only makes sense for us to start incorporating them in all levels of education. Smartphones and tablets make it more mobile and efficient than traditional books, pencils and paper. Studies even show that it positively affects learning in a positive way. Students now can talk to others and communicate about projects and other studies; from anywhere in the world. Diagonal technology based education also changes the role of teacher. Technology should be used more in schools because it is more efficient, affects learning in a positive way, expands our communication, and changes the role of teaching for the better.

Students can connect worldwide with other students through many of today's programs, in turn, making group projects and sharing of research to students from anywhere in the world possible (“How has Technology…”). Students could possibly communicate with scientists via blogs, video chats, or emails, and collaborate with studies and other work (“How has Technology…”). Desks, workstations, or other multi touch surfaces are a great way for students to collaborate with other students from right by their side, to students all over the world (“The Evolution of…”). Also, communication, via the internet, erases the distance barrier between people; it is possible to talk face to face with anyone from around the planet without physically being there (Paget 12) A simple video-conference is all that is needed to make this possible (“How has Technology…”). Social media is becoming a big form of communication between students and instructors (“The Evolution of…”). Students can now communicate with teachers for one-on-work, even if they are nowhere near each other (“The Evolution of…”). Students use the technology to take more responsibility for their own learning, yet the teacher is still there on the side to help (“How has Technology…”). Technology makes the software program the main source of information (“How has Technology…”). This makes the teacher more of a side by the side teacher, helping along the way, rather than in the front leading the entire lesson (“Effects of Technology…”). Instead of in the front teaching, the teacher can now walk around and help each student individually as needed, by asking questions about the topic, and guiding them in the right direction to stay in line with their work (“Effects of Technology…”) Teachers are now there for a guideline to help students stay on track and help with problems (“Effects of Technology…”). Instant polling is a great way to survey students and get an idea of where is everybody is at (“Teaching with Technology”). In summary, teachers now have the role of helpers instead of
