How could you create a positive and effective learning environment that would accommodate adult students with various learning styles, based on the evidence for educational practice? Should you?

To create a positive effective learning environment, it is important to teach students by using different techniques. For example, if I was to teach students the function of our muscles I would teach that topic in various ways. First, I would do a lecture explaining the steps, then I would show them a video, and at last I would demonstrate by using a model of a muscle. If I teach by lecture, videos, and models, then I would be targeting various learning styles. I do think that it is important to target every learning style that there is when teaching a lecture because students will learn more effectively and be able to retain more information easily.

In order for adults to learn, it is important for people to be taught in their dominant learning style. One way to teach adult learning students can be by first presenting information to them by using different learning styles and at the end present information to them with their dominant learning style. Adult students can also learn by constantly practicing by using a different learning method, if a student practices often, then most likely the new learning style will become a habit and individuals will get used to learning by that new method.
