Martin Luther King Jr was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. Martin Luther King Jr was born in a time when there was still segregation between white people and black people. He started the civil rights movement when he was only in his twenties. He worked as a minister in a church but later became a leader and a spokesperson. He tried to make it so black and white people could be equal. He tried to make black and white people go to the same school and be friends with one another.
