It's not realistic to live in a celebrity free world. Celebrities will always be there impacting lives. Whether they are advertising in commercials or partying in Hollywood. Celebrities are impacting young girls the most. Celebrities can cause teens to develop eating disorders and make poor decisions.
Millions of young people suffer every day from eating disorders. A big cause of eating disorders is body image, the way one sees herself. Many children and teens suffer from eating disorders because they look up to celebrities and want to act and look like them. In an effort to look like a celebrity, many fall into eating disorders such as, bulimia, anorexia, starvation, vomiting and or over-exercising. These can all cause death and lead to emotional damage.
There are many different types of eating disorders, one called Anorexia Nervosa. Anorexia Nervosa is an eating disorder causing one to feel fat. This makes one not eat, extreme diet, etc. By not eating and causing oneself to quickly lose weight, one loses energy, and one's body will stop developing which can cause harm.
