High blood pressure has many effects on the body. It can damage many organs such as your heart, kidneys, brain, and eyes. If it is not controlled, a person can become disable, or have a heart attack and die. With the right medication, and good habits high blood pressure will become more controllable.
When a person has high blood pressure starts to damage your heart it begins to strain causing the heart muscles to weaken and work less active. Eventually, the heart begins to wear out. Because high blood pressure makes the heart work harder to pump the blood it causes the left side of your heart to become enlarged. This limits the amount of blood that is being pump to the rest of the body which increases the risk of a heart attack and heart failure.
