Recommended: The importance of taking a blood pressure
The lung tissues may develop a pneumothorax. This causes the lungs to collapse by letting air escape into the chest cavity. This disease may affect the heart through aortic dilation. The aorta is a blood vessel that is responsible for transporting blood from the heart to the body. In aortic dilation, the aorta may overstretch or become weak.
1.Congestive Heart Failure also known as (heart failure) is a life threatening condition. Heart Failure is caused when someone has a weak heart. It usually happens when the bodies blood pump to the heart is not pumping blood to the heart correctly.
What causes the heart to become weaker? There is a number of causes, but most of all, the arteries may narrow in the heart. That is another disease known as Coronary Artery Disease. Another reason that a Congestive Heart Failure may occur is because of high blood pressure.
Myocardial Infarction which is another word for Heart-attack. When you have an heart-attack your blood is not getting to your heart's muscle. This means your arteries are clogged. Blood is pumped through your arteries to all of the parts in your body. If you have a heart condition you shouldn't smoke, you should diet and exercise, you should watch your Blood Pressure if you have to take medication for your Blood Pressure make sure you take the prescribed medication.
Hg (Lewis, Dirksen, Heitkemper, Bucher, Camera, 2014). Although signs and symptoms of hypertension are not visible, elevated blood pressure is noticed and possible headaches in life threatening situations (Potter, Perry, Stockert, & Hall, 2014). My patient had presented with elevated blood pressure levels, but was controlled with drug therapy throughout the day. Hypertension puts patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases. Although medications will lower blood pressure, they will not cure it.
The narrowing of these arteries can lead to weakening of the left ventricle due to the increased workload; eventually the left ventricle cannot effectively pump, resulting in blood backing up into the lungs. The fluid is then forced into the blood, through the capillaries and into the alveoli; this is known as congestive heart failure (Mayo Clinic, 2014). Another cause of cardiogenic pulmonary edema is cardiomyopathy. Cardiomyopathy also causes a weakening in the ventricles. Unlike coronary artery disease which is a result of the narrowing of the arteries, cardiomyopathy is caused by damage to the cardiac muscle (Mayo Clinic, 2014).
Thesis; Dilated Cardiomyopathy can be caused by genetics, drug or alcohol abuse, chemotherapy, infection, or from a heart disease. Cardiomyopathy is a serious condition where the heart is abnormal. If left untreated, it is common that you could go into heart failure. Dilated cardiomyopathy is where the heart chambers are enlarged. It makes it harder for your heart to pump blood and for that blood to get to the rest of your body.
High blood pressure normally started in the arteries. There are different stages of high blood pressure, there is stage 1 and stage 2 of high blood pressure. High blood pressure is caused from being overweight, little no exercise, genetics, smoking, family history high blood pressure, salt, alcohol, old age, stress, and the food intake that is the diet. High blood pressure is one of the top that kills African American women each year. High blood pressure mostly affects the ages between 40 through 70 (Kovesdy, Csaba P.; Furth, Susan; Zoccali,
Coronary heart disease starts to develop at a young age when plaque can start to develop in the blood vesicles walls. As your get older, the plaque builds up, inflaming the blood vesicle walls, making your arteries more prone to blood clots and giving you a higher risk for a heart attack. Soon enough, the plaque starts to release chemicals for healing but ends up making the artery sticky, resulting in things like calcium sticking to your blood vesicle walls. The heart then tries to compromise by making new vesicles to do the job of the damaged ones, but in times of stress the new vesicles may not be able to provide enough oxygen-rich blood to your heart. If you have a big enough blood clot that totally shuts down your artery, you have a heart
Because of this inability to contract effectively, the rest of the vital organs receive inadequate amount of blood resulting to inadequate tissue perfusion. There are two types of left-sided HF; systolic and diastolic failure. Systolic failure happens when the left ventricle doesn’t have the enough energy to pump normally the blood to the general circulation. As for diastolic failure, the left ventricle loses the ability to fill itself with blood during resting period resulting to inadequate amount of blood to be pumped out to the circulation (Weinrauch, 2008). The diastolic dysfunction will eventually lead to right-sided heart failure.
The monkeys were exposed to stressors over a length of time that increased its blood pressure; the consistent exposure expressed an increased risk for the monkey to accelerate its rate to acquire atherosclerosis. With continuous exposure, it was determined that atherosclerosis can result in a higher probability for the monkey to retrieve myocardial infraction (McEwen, 1998). b)
Among American adults, 1 in 2 have a chance at having high blood pressure. That is 50 percent of all people who are above the age of 18 in the United States. High blood pressure can be caused by multiple factors in that age range. In an ad by the Ad Council for the American Heart Association titled “High Blood Pressure Control,” the Ad Council states that many Americans who have high blood pressure do not have their blood pressure under control. While there are many ways to keep blood pressure under control, many adult Americans do not pay attention to the signs.
High blood pressure is a serious disease that can damage the blood vessel walls and increase risk of heart attack. Blood pressure is the force of your blood against the blood vessel walls. Having high blood pressure means that this force is higher health problems. Both cholesterol and blood pressure control mood, you have health and quality of life. Some are called Garcinia cambogia, as the name of Malabar tamarind.
If the blood pressure generated by the heart is less than 60mm of mercury due to say a heart attack the first organ that becomes dysfunctional would be the brain. Brain has no capacity to function in an anoxic or Hypoxic state. Brain death occurs if the blood pressure and the blood supply are not restored within four to five minutes. Even though the heart has recovered and started functioning normally after 5 minutes the brain cannot regain its function.
When the blood pressure is high, the heart has to work more to get the blood through your arteries. These then take a beating from having the blood pressured into them, and the danger of a stroke, heart attack, or even kidney troubles then become that much of a greater risk. High blood pressure is a serious disease because it has the heart working much harder. If the heart has to work harder for extended periods, it will become large. If the heart is slightly enlarged, it can and should still work alright, but if it becomes greatly enlarged it won't work alright.
