LEGO is one of the most well known toy companies in the world due to their famous interlocking brick system. However, The company was not always producing brick building sets with a variety of fun and unique themes, for kids and adults alike. Even though they found toy fame from their lego bricks, They started off as any other toy company in the early 1930’s, and grew dramatically from their. (when referring to advancements in toy production, and the growth of the company.)

However, that does not mean they have not made any advancements and updates through time. To begin with, the lego company's logo has been changed over 15 times in the years 1934 to 1998. (One logo was even blue! that was quickly changed later in 1956.) The logo went through many time periods and show the advancement of lego over the years is why it is important. For examples, the first logo was very dull and presented the company as a basic toy producer. Later in the timeline, Lego first used its signature yellow and red outline. The latest logo is recognized across the world for its simplicity and vibrant use of yellow, red and black outlines. Speaking of simplicity... The well known (simple, yet complex) lego minifigures were introduced in 1978. that’s 29 years after lego was introduced. One early model of the lego minifig had no arms and a blank face. (Again this shows advancements of lego through the years.) Advancements in Lego took to a new height when the company created a new type of building theme that had to do with the technology available at the time. It was called LEGO MINDSTORMS. They centered on programmable robotics packs containing customized bricks. Over the years, they have become increasingly complex as technology advances. (Nowadays there is a special site that can program the robots to do different tasks like spin in a circle, or pick up a ball.) This step in time for lego is important, as it shows that the company can be flexible, and develop different things/ideas based on the current trend that is affecting the world.
