Sport is continually changing, and the use of technology is just one of those areas that has made an impact on many sports in the modern era. One negative of the use of technology is that it can slow down the speed of the game, but on the other hand for many people it makes watching sports more enjoyable to see the correct decisions being made like calling the correct decision for someone getting out if the ball slightly hits a cricket bat and you can’t visually see the ball hitting the wicket. There is also all kinds of minor changes that technology has made that has affected sport in major ways such as Hawk-eye in tennis because it uses a computer and camera system which traces a ball's trajectory and helps the referees to make the right call if the ball goes outside the court. Another example of this is Hot Spot which is an infra-red camera system that is used in Cricket to determine whether the ball has struck the batsman, bat and pad. Some negatives about technology in sports are that they are the new technology is expensive and sometimes it’s not always correct and it can be faulty.
