The vision I have for myself before I graduate the Haskanye school of business (HSB) is to strive for academic excellence while balancing many aspects of my life that make up who am today: Academic, work life, involvement within HSB, and my personal and social relationships. I will be able to achieve my vision through the many strengths that I have, I also accept that I have a few weaknesses that I will have to manage in order to successfully complete my vision.
My first strength that I have is my communication skills; teaching children to skate has allowed me to be able to learn how to better articulate my ideas and demonstrate how to do a certain task in a simple, easy manner. First off my time management skills will need to be addressed, I often leave things until the last minute until I feel I need to get something done, this often causes me to become stressed. I also believe, my presentation skills and public speaking need to be improved. I usual am very nervous when before and when I have to address a public audience or present a presentation. One of the major skills that I look to develop at HSB is my writing skills. By improving upon my writing skills, I will be able to better communicate through my written work with fellow students and professors. Another area of improvement is my study habits, I would like to study further in advance and cram less, this will help for me to retain more of the information and understand the material on a deeper level.
