Ladies and gentlemen, I am Dr. Anne Howard and I am the Dean of the students here at the University of Michigan. I am so pleased to be with you tonight and to have the chance to introduce our keynote speaker, Akosua Atweaban. She is a notable alumni of this school and has gone on to become Head Nurse at New York-Presbyterian University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell. She has been one of the top nurses at this hospital for several years, and is a true stand out in this field.
First, to the those who have made this night possible. I, and all the other graduates sitting here tonight would like to thank the Winton Woods High School Administration, Counselors, Teachers, as well as those from around the district, including the Winton Woods School District Board of Education and Superintendent for the countless nights that they invested in us over the past 13 years. While many times it felt like you were being unreasonable and much harder than necessary, we can see now, your persistent nature was borne from your unadulterated passion to ameliorate our lives for decades to come. Second, on behalf of the Winton Woods Class of 2017, we would all like to extend our deepest appreciation to the friends and family in attendance tonight.
In To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee demonstrates that those who are mature respond to injustice with integrity, courage, caring, and democracy, laying the foundations for eventual change. For example, Tom Robinson was charged with a crime he didn’t commit. Instead of sitting back and watching it happen, Atticus stepped in to try his best to help stop it. Atticus may not have won the case, but he made a huge impact on everyone in Maycomb. Set in 1930s Alabama, the story is narrated by Scout and her growing up in a town influenced by racial prejudice and injustice.
Hello, Singh. How are you doing? How was your night? I hope you had a restful night and a splendid and safe day. About your message from yesterday, I told you that I read it slowly and paying too much attention in every word you wrote.
Please accept my sincerest congratulations on winning the 2016 “Tennessee Teacher of the Year Award.” I am very proud of you. Being recognized for this incredible honor is indicative of the high-quality teachers throughout the Kingsport City School System who serve the students each and every day and ensuring their success not only in the classroom, but also in life. I commend you for the enormous impact you have on your students through your tireless and steadfast commitment and your exceptional teaching. I am quite confident you have truly made a difference by inspiring and assisting many students to grow emotionally and academically, and I know you have left an imprint forever in their hearts.
Despite increased debate, employers, who are a key stakeholder and drug coverage provider through employee benefit plans, have been largely absent from national debate. Given the rising costs of prescription drugs, employers are increasingly concerned about the future of private coverage. That said, employers continue to fund benefits, as they believe they offer a competitive advantage in recruitment, maintain wellness and support a productive workforce, and assist in preventing long-term disability. As costs have increased, employers’ views are converging with those of government, including, a shift in focus to outcomes and creation of mechanisms to measure impact of spending for sustainability.
I wrote five different speeches to tell you tonight how Phi Theta Kappa has impacted me. There was the funny version, talking about how much fun we all have as the close group of friends we are. The nerdy version, where I had all these stories about carbon and graphene that showed what big chemistry nerd I am. There was a slightly obnoxious version that listed all the scholarships and awards I've gotten thanks to my work at Phi Theta Kappa. There was even a dark version, with story involving dead animals that, somehow, I thought it was a good idea.
Hey guys, my name is Sadie, first off thank you for reading my post..im 24 years old, curvy, fun loving, innocent type. If you like typical blonde, generic loads of makeup, overly revealing clothing wearing, skinny/fake girls. I am not that girl. I 'm a naturally beautiful, real, Modern woman, who is open minded and fun. I do, infact have a wild side and that 's where you cum in.
Good Morning Ladies, Hope you all made it through the storm without any problems. Attached is my calendar for this week but please note that I will be heading out to North Louisiana sometime today to help take care of my mom. Hopefully, I will be out less than two days. If you need me to come by this week and take a look at anything please let me know.
Thank you very much for your reply. It is not necessary to apologize. I know that you are doing your job and this is part of the process. To further clarify the situation, my husband and I were both previously married to other people and each had one kid from our previous marriages. Gabriella is my husband's biological daughter from a previous marriage and Ralph is my biological son from mine.
I was always the one who planned on getting married in this exact same spot actually. But things happen, you know? Then he ran off with that Red Lobster hostess and here I am, dateless
On this day the person who makes my life brighter came into this world. I know I cannot express everything how much I love you with these little words. But still, I will try to showcase my feeling with these words. I’d like to take this day as an opportunity to thank you. Thank you for everything that you’ve done for me.
First off I would like to thank my family for they have supported me every step I take. Second off I would like to thank my friends because when my family couldn’t understand me they were there. Third I would love to thank all the people and places that have been a challenge to me, without someone to say no I cannot do that, or that I am a weird bizarre odd creature that they cannot comprehend, well without them there would be no adventure no stepping up and over. Without people like you there would be no stories. I give this forgotten fairytale to all who feel lost, to all who have thought at one point or another that they have to hide something inside of them that is beautiful and pure.
My beautiful colleagues, class of 2016, it’s an honor for me to be standing here as your commencement speaker. Graduates, congratulations, I have the feeling like I know each and every one of you even those that I’ve never talked to. Four years ago, we arrived here, to this campus, like little freshmen lost everywhere, trying to figure out the location of our next class, scattered between the actual names of the buildings vs. the common names known between people. How did this go so fast? It feels like yesterday, not four years ago.
I didn’t think she would leave us so soon, but you know what they say life doesn’t always go as planned. I never got the chance to say goodbye, or tell her I loved her very much and that I was grateful for all that she had done for me, I never got to tell her what a inspiration she was to me, and I never got to hug one last time. It wasn’t far, I hated that I wasn’t there for her and I couldn’t do anything about it. I guess when people say that life isn’t far, they really mean
