Rice Memorial Scholarship

Since I was a young girl I have always enjoyed school. I liked learning new concepts and putting them to use. I loved the feeling of understanding something new that I could never understand before. I want to continue my education and continue to learn about the things that interest me the most. I want to continue my education to get a good job that I love. I want to go to school to become a registered nurse, and someday my dream is to become a nurse anesthetist. This is a big dream of mine and I have been after it for some time. Being able to continue my education will allow me to get one step closer to this goal. When I'm in school I have goals I want to accomplish.
When I am in college I hope to meet new people and become a more cultured person. Growing up in such a small town I have always felt that I may not have been exposed to as much culture as people from bigger towns and cities do. I want to experience different cultures and make new friends. Also when I start college I plan to keep my grades high. I have goals to be on the dean's list every semester. Although some may

I would like to get a good job in a hospital and begin helping patients right after I graduate. I hope that someday I can be a comfort to patients and to their families in hard times. I hope that I can be someone to offer them compassion and understanding. I hope to be able to support a family with my job and give my future children a financially safe and secure life. After I am a nurse for a few years I hope to go back to school to become a nurse anesthetist. This would take me a few more years to achieve and I believe it would be very worth it. I have always loved the idea of working in health care and even more so loved the idea of working in the operating room. I would love to be a nurse and someday work my way up into becoming an anesthesia
