Idaho Education Funding Foundation Before answering all those question, one thing for sure I know how our education funding is from donation and from the government, but that doesn’t really explain how they are funded. After looking at the pie chart and seeing how our state highly depend upon state funding and that’s the place where they get the most funding. In actual number from idaho ednews, Idaho receive about 0.306 billions from Federal, 0.496 billions from Local funding. To my surprise the local funding seem to exceed that of federal, which I don’t see often in other situation such as imposing a federal law. Lastly, Idaho receive from the state funding is 1.382 billions all together is 64 percent. Rather I find article that criticize how Idaho is spending it education money carelessly without regarding the rate of success per pupil. One report from Boise State Public Radio talks about how Idaho isn’t vary fair about how it doles out school cash. And in the report, they find that 20-30 percents of students live below the federal poverty line and the separation of the poor and non-poor student seem to concern the writer. And I too seem to get skeptical about Idaho spending their education fund. It seem surreal how much poor district receive less per student. According to the report by Boise State Public Radio about how Idaho spent their cash… “Idaho;s wealthiest districts have about $800 more per student than its poorest districts.” well now, if you’re the poorer district then you’re pretty much short $800, however the bigger picture is when you put all those $800 all to together. Only then will we see the big difference. I just think this is quite uneducated for something like this to happen, but capitalism seem to dominate in this
