INFLUENZA INTERNET RESEARCH:
What is the influenza virus? The influenza virus is the flu, and there are three different types of the virus. Type A and B are human influenza that cause the seasonal spread of the virus. It comes almost every winter and fall her in the United States. Type A and B can cause an influenza pandemic because the always new and different types of the virus to infect people. Type C of the influenza virus causes mild respiratory illness and is not known to cause an epidemic. The influenza virus targets the nose, throat and lungs, can cause mild illness and may lead to death. The symptoms of the flu are fever or feeling feverish and may have chills. Coughing, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose are more of the symptoms of the flu or influenza virus. You may also get muscle or body aches, headaches, fatigue (tiredness). Some people may even have some vomiting and diarrhea, but these two symptoms are more common in children than adults. One important note to know is that not everyone who gets the flu will have a fever while sick. Like every sickness some people are more at risk then other people. Antiviral are prescription medication that can come in pills, liquids, an inhaled powder or an intravenous solution. They lessen the symptoms of the virus and shorten the time you are sick by 1 or 2 days. People who are in the higher risk of the virus, this drug means the difference between having the milder version of the illness or a very serious one that can lead to a hospital stay. It is recommended that you start taking the drug one to two days start of getting sick but starting later can still be very helpful.
