Obesity is a topics that I have recently had to become more familiar with, to include into an isearch paper. An isearch paper is a personal research paper about a topic interesting to the writer. The paper is usually less formal than traditional research papers; the actual research is not as important as the experience itself. Since I chose obesity for my topic, my next step was to consider questions to answer, which took some time to develop. At the time i was anxiously confused about the whole assignment which contributed much to my thinking. Though I faced many hardships, I’ve determined my format.

This includes overeating, psychological factors such as emotions like sadness and stress, and diseases. The site also informs that 1 out of 5 Americans are obese; more than 30% above the ideal weight based on height. Obesity rates in children have doubled over the past 20 years. Which had led to children to be diagnosed with things like sleep apnea and diabetes. This means that 1 out of 3 children are obese.
I chose to use the “Webster's All-In-One Dictionary and Thesaurus” to cite the word obesity. I discovered that the term is medically used to describe a person with a BMI of 30. This means that the person has an excessive amount of fat stored in the body. This dictionary was very descriptive about the term. I believe that anyone could be able to comprehend the definition by reading it.
All this information is very critical to my understanding. These results help me understand the term obesity and the basics of an isearch paper. This experience has taught me the factors of obesity. Along with its effects on America as well as the human body itself. I am educated enough about this topic to educate
