K. Rowling innovated because she had to overcome poverty in Scotland. While in Scotland she was living off of government assistance which provided her with barely enough money to buy food and pay for rent (Pollack & Beliviso, 2012, p.43). Sometimes there was not enough money to buy food for both J.K. Rowling and her baby. J.K. Rowling had chosen to buy her baby food and to go hungry herself (Pollack & Beliviso, 2012, p. 43). While J.K. Rowling was poor she still continued to work on Harry Potter. She finally finished her book, Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone. Rowling brang Harry Potter to life, she changed the lives of millions of people. With her books she taught people to live life and to be adventurous because change can happen in the blink of an eye.
