Joan of Arc had an important role in the Hundred Years’ War for a French peasant girl who basically led France to its victory, and was able to save the monarchy. During her teenage years, Joan started to hear voices, which she claimed to be the voices of Saint Michael, Saint Catherine, and Saint Margaret. Later on, those voices spoke to her telling her that the dauphin had to be crowned and that the English had to be expelled from France. She had many obstacles in the way but in the end they were convinced. The French believed her, because the court believed that only a miracle could save the country.
The French army had originally had a tough time fighting against the English and was never really able to siege the city of Orleans but all of that changed when Joan of Arc had made an arrival in order to help. Even though she was excluded from the war meetings and tactical discussions, Joan knew exactly what she needed to know and would provide the moral support that was necessary for the troops to press on and claim

Joan of Arc is most infamously known for her role in the war between France and England, which led to France’s victory. At the time, the Hundred Years' War was in full swing, and at 16, divine voices from saints in her head told Joan that she must assist the dauphin (crown prince) in saving France, as their chances of winning the war were steadily becoming lower. Dressing as a man, she inspired the dauphin to let her lead France’s troops.
She became a very well known leader, even though Charles still did not have full trust in her after her victory in overtaking the English army. After her success she continued to push Charles to hurry to Reims to be crowned. He and his advisors did not want to rush anything so they took their time on getting there and getting crowned. They finally entered Reims on July 18, 1429 and Charles was crowned Charles VII with Joan at his side.
It is said that she showed a strong sensitivity and respect for the ways of God and her friends described that ‘she was greatly committed to the service of God and the Blessed Mary’. Joan of Arc became a heroin and unbelievably turned the tide of a seemingly endless war. However, in the spring of 1430, she was captured by the English, tried by the Inquisition, and eventually burned at the stake. Joan of Arc was a hero, heretic, and inspirational religious figure.
