In society today we believe that happiness comes from being flawless and skinny and having super white teeth, which is not accurate. The version of reality that is being created in this weight loss ad is the happiness of a healthy body with weight loss. It portrays beauty as skinny and defines happiness with having no fat on your body. In this weight loss ad, there are an outstanding amount of words, the words in the ad explain the benefits from starting the program, how much you can save, the expiry date, so you know that the time is limited for the deal. In the ad, they quote additional programs they offer, and also the phone number and address to be contacted and visited. Words allow the readers to be drawn in by all the positivity said about the program, and persuade the reader that it will create happiness and health in your life, to become a “new” you. In addition, extra ads are put into this weight loss program to trick society into paying more than what they need.
