Kindred High School Uniforms: Public Vs. Private Schools

Students know that if we all dressed the same, there would be a much more positive environment at the Kindred High School. Did you know that statistics have shown 47% of students in Private schools reported an accepting environment, whereas only 36% of public school students, (School Bullying Report Card: Public vs. Private). This is due to the Private school uniform policy. Through all of the Kindred High School students wearing a uniform, there will be less bullying, less stress, and more life skills.
Conversely, through wearing school uniforms it makes it almost absurd to pick on someone for what they are wearing. 79% of students say uniforms promote an increased sense of student safety (Lake). In multiple cases at school, students are picked on for what they wear …show more content…

Parents agree with this 38% and teachers agree with this 81% “School Uniform Statistics”. Uniforms abate distraction, sharpen focus on schoolwork, and cause the classroom to feel like a more resolute environment. The more focused and time students have for the school will leave them diminished in stress and better off in the long run. When you proceed to your first job interview you want to look professional. How can students do that if their entire life, they have spent wearing whatever they want in a laid back environment? With a uniform they will learn to dress with style, smarts, and sophistication and learn to take pride in their appearance. By all students wearing the same clothing item they will learn that their individuality comes from their eccentric personality not what they wear. That is one of the important lessons a school can teach. Consequently, if we had uniforms, life at Kindred would be a way more positive environment.
