Introduction Will Howie and Laura remain close friends, My opinion is yes they will remain close friends. I say this because they have gotten to know each other and helped each other really well. They also learned to take care of each other, they also learned to take care of themselves. Also they had to steal stuff from houses and people so they are not nasty. They almost got in big trouble a lot, i say this because when the cleaning lady caught them in the restaurant the cleaning lady called the cops on laura because the cleaning lady couldn’t find Howie. Were i am going with this is at the end of the incidence Howie got dirt all over himself and scared the cleaning lady and then Howie and Laura walked out.

Laura and Howie are determined to stay together. Laura called her mother and said she's not going back without Howie. This shows that Laura cares about Howie and Howie cares about Laura (Chapter 8) I know this because Laura left her mom a voicemail saying she will not go home without Howie. This shows that laura cares about Howie and is willing to leave her blood her family her mom over Howie a boy she met at camp. Some might argue that Laura and her mother did not have a great relationship and it states that in the book. I say this because Howie and Laura got caught by the sheriff on pages 158-163. My reasoning is they almost when to jail together and that is bad. They didn’t go to jail because they helped each other out and broke free from the car. This is showing that they can trust each other and know how to use team work. The main obstacle that they faced was being alone without an adult. This is an obstacle because they are 13 and have an adult do everything for them (I know this because i am 13 and have an adult do everything for me FYI) They also had no money so they had to steal and sleep in a house that was owned by someone. This is dangerous because if they got caught they would have had to go back to camp and their parents would have to pay for everything that they stole.
