They say life after high school will only get easier, but I think they really mean that life after high school will only become more challenging because you then have to go to college; which is an advanced course of high school that will prepare you for the rest of your life. The hardest part, deciding what you want to study and where you want to go. So, where do I want to go? I have narrowed it down to three universities to study in the field of criminal justice: Tiffin University, The University of Toledo, and The University of Cincinnati. But if I had to pick a certain college I really wanted to go too, I would have to say Tiffin University. When deciding to go to college, not only does one have to decide where to go, but how much does …show more content…
All three of these schools have some of the finest programs around and when I have asked where I should go, I hear at least one of these three school pop up in that conversation. At Tiffin University, “their program is nationally ranked” (TU Home”) and is the most recommended school I hear to go to and to study criminal justice. When I took my college visit there, I was introduced to new information that completely blew my mind; they have a free tutor sessions to help you study and have a phenomenal teacher to student connection. At the University of Toledo they have a huge abundance of opportunities when it comes to criminal justice. For example, they want to see their students succeed when they graduate and they even help their students with job interviews, applications, and even help them find a job for them. “Not only do they help their students for after college, they help their students perform real life events in the classes so their students have an advantage when they graduate”(“Commencement Detour”). When it comes to the University of Cincinnati, their criminal justice program is also nationally ranked. “They have professors that have both multiple years of teaching that field and multiple years of experience of working in the field of law” (“Home” ). Not only do I want to be apart of that glamourous life, I plan on taking full advantage of it. At Tiffin University, they have varsity sports programs like, such as: football, basketball, soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field, etc…. Plus, they also have small organizations, such as: quidditch, debate teams, club sport teams, etc…. Since the campus is roughly fourty five to fifty minutes away from home, I could easily come home and spend time with my family and go to events at my high school alma mater, Liberty-Benton. At Toledo, they too also have a varsity sports program and they too have other small organizations. Not only that, they also have greek life and community service projects. However, the only flaw with going to Toledo is that their criminal justice program may or may not be discontinued in the next few years. If you go to Cincinnati, you will also see varsity sports programs and small campus organizations. They too also have greek life. My older brother is apart of a fraternity now. But the only flaw with Cincy, is that it is 2-2 ½ hr drive there from Findlay, Ohio. So seeing your friends and family won’t be
