As I strive to achieve great academic success and leadership at Montana State University, I hope that my previous experiences will catalyze this process. Using my interests in academics, participation in extracurricular activities, and my own strengths, I hope to become a strong leader. I know I can achieve being both a scholar and an example for other students by utilizing my previous experiences. When I start my journey at Montana State, I expect to find students with common academic interests as myself. My goal is to connect with these students, who appreciate education in a similar way I do, in order to help each other understand topics or lessons that we will learn.
It’s always exciting to see the ripple effect between what each member takes in and, in turn, gives back to her campus and community. We love learning about Hobart and William Smith Colleges’ initiatives that are intended to develop and inspire the next generation of leaders. We are ready to do the work to help prepare your students for a lifetime of courageous leadership. Developing stronger individuals is a key component of our membership experience. In order to affect the bigger campus picture, each individual must be a contributing member of a team — starting with her own chapter.
I have led many club activities such as concession stands, volunteer services, and other community led activities. I have become a great leader to many of these kids as president of our school club, S-Club. I am in very good standing academically and known for my exceptional work ethic. I have matured with each of the trials and events I have encountered that have come my way during my senior year. The skills I have gained over the course of the year will help me towards my main career goal in mind, professional.
There was a time when I can help student understand the concept better during school and it help them get their grades better. These leadership help me impact a positive change to not just me but to people who wanted
Here I serve on a leadership team charged with not just the duties of being a role model for our Youth Group but also with assisting teachers, leading small groups, and making any new attendees feel welcome. The next of my many
Although I was only at the bud of SLA’s growth, the mission statement it still holds today was engraved in me from the beginning. SLA pushed me to lead to my best ability through different aspects of my life including academics, moral growth, and service. I learned to be a leader is not simply someone who tells others what to do, it is someone who embodies a strong sense self, but at the same time selfless. A leader shows others how to work hard in life and radiate love in every encounter with others. What I learned throughout my two years of SLA was a springboard to help me grow and prosper in high school.
When I was a part of the facilitation of Camp Herllich’s Fall Outdoor Market, I was able to support small businesses and became aware of the struggles of local people trying to climb the ladder to success. This experience allowed me to learn more about the hardworking nature of owning a small business and what responsibilities come with it, especially without the privilege of a plethora of workers. Everyone should assume a leadership role at some point in their life to grow in areas like being resourceful, having responsibilities, being more positive, and demonstrating initiative. During the summer leading up to my junior year and throughout, I was able to be in the Summer Bridge Program and Link Crew at Watertown High School where I helped underclassmen who may need motivation as a big change occurs in their life. This seemed slightly natural to me due to my paid work experience at Camp Herrlich, where I was a general counselor.
In the book Lord Of the Flies two British boys, ralph and jack are stuck on an island this situation exemplifies their differences In the aspect of who they are, what they want and why they want it. On that island, their own society is created their president is elected. Between the two leaders the novel 's antagonist and protagonist one elected by the people while the other elected by force both with different intentions to use their power and leadership but common in being the leader of a small island that is now theirs. jack is arrogant and dangerous he cares for no one but himself, he continuously forgets his responsibilities to hunt, he uses his power arbitrarily and wants what he doesn 't need.
My friends and family would describe me as a kind, caring person. I show great character, but my leadership skills need improvement. That is just one of many reasons why you should choose me to be part of the National Junior Honor Society. I plan to improve my leadership skills by leading people by example, by not talking as much, and by contributing to the improvement of my school by participating in the student leadership group. I would like to join their group to not only lead other people, but to work on my own leadership skills and teamwork.
In all of my Highschool career, I have developed numerous skills whether it be from being head of groups, able to speak in big crowds, and making sure that everyone understood their positions. Starting eighth grade, I had begun my journey by being a part of the Junior National Honor Society and becoming our classes representative, or as others say “Junior High valedictorian”. At this point in my life, I was able to realize that I demonstrated all the characteristics that a leader needed, and I was viewed to students and teachers as a mentor. After I had been promoted to High School, I was ambitious and challenged myself to be a part of Louder Than A Bomb poetry group. Freshman year was the Louder Than A Bombs first year at our High School which caused that year to be the group's building block.
My siblings look up to me and I am always a source of knowledge whenever they need any advice or help. At my school I serve as the President of the National English Honor Society which involves holding meetings and discussions about how to raise awareness of literature around the school. I am the Treasury of the Environmental Club which involves counting the money the club may raise and making sure it gets too the person in charge of the club bank account. I was a member of the Principal’s Advisory group in which I help the principal make decisions concerning the school. I will bring this knowledge of leadership to Howard University by joining clubs like Alpha Nu Omega and Student Government which promote academic excellence around the school.
By taking on leadership roles such as being president of environmental club and public relations of class council, I am a mentor to others all while sharing the same interests and providing opportunities for them to build their own character. Prior to this school year, I was fortunate enough to attend a weeklong event called Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, where I lived there for a week surrounded by young leaders from all over south jersey. In this experience, I learned that being a leader means being understanding of others and their situations. With this experience I was able to bring back what I learned to my own communities like environmental club. Not only do I have to be organize and communicative, but I also have to be a role model to members of a club by showing my own good character.
I led twenty-two students during their first year of college to provide them success as students. I co-taught a class that focused on study skills, UNK resources, and involvement on campus. My ability to communicate and adapt to the diversity of the class was shown through creating different learning activities to employ in the classroom. I exemplified team work by collaborating with another instructor. Through my experience as a Peer Academic Leader, I was able to hold two counseling sessions with each student per semester to provide myself as a resource.
I will be able to better the world through my
The Cold War Anyone who lived during the 20th century would probably talk to you about the Cold War. The Cold War is one of the longest “conflicts” in U.S. History. Although it was a war liked by the people, the American Government should be praised for their actions during the Cold War. In February of 1945, after the allies remained victorious in the second World War, Britain, the United States, and the Soviet Union held a conference about what to do with Germany.
