In the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Miss Caroline is treated poorly because some of her students think she is picking on a kid that comes from a poor family. It is the first day of first grade for Scout and Miss Caroline is her teacher. Miss Caroline's students do not realize that she is not trying to pick on a student named Walter when she tries to be nice by paying for his lunch but does not know that he would have to pay the money back. “You’re shamin’ him, Miss Caroline. They both went alone with little supplies to explore Yellowstone, but Tom crossed what he knows is Yellowstone almost 200 years later than John, when Yellowstone park didn’t exist. Tom is only doing it for fun and excitement, where John did it to explore. He has a lot more gear that is a lot more advanced unlike John, who probably only had a coat, hat, glove, boots, and maybe a sleeping bag. In “Heart of a Champions” by Carl Deuker, Seth and Jimmy the main characters go through some things in the book. When Jimmy starts hanging out with his “Cool friends” he starts changing for the worse but later in the book his actions have consequences. In “Heart of the Champion” Deuker shows that there will always be consequences to your actions. Deuker uses a 1st person narrator to show why Seth is angry at Jimmy.
