When looking at colleges Missouri Southern State University was the very first choice that came to mind. Southern is known for many things such as their class size, placement rate, tuition, and the fact that they offer A+ program for students. Another big factor for choosing MSSU was the distance away from home which is 3.6 miles. Southern offers a program called A+ Leadership Scholarship.

Motlow State Community College does not offer a cafeteria for students at the Smyrna Center. Constructing a cafeteria at Motlow State Community College would be beneficial for everyone, including the staff and students. A cafeteria would offer convenience for students and staff, increase the attendance rate, and allow students to engage in social interactions with one another. Not only is cafeteria favorable for the Motlow State community, but it would multiply the revenue for the school. Predominantly, constructing a cafeteria will improve the Smyrna campus as a whole.
I chose Prairie View A&M University not only because of how historical the university is but, because of the outstanding number of students that have graduated from the college of nursing. Also, because I was chosen to be a part of the phenomenal dance team known as the Black foxes, then I decided that prairie view was the perfect school for me. After making this decision, things just started falling into place more and more each day. Prairie View has given me numerous opportunities as well as being offered the Target academic scholarship. As generous as the scholarship is it’s still not enough to cover the cost of attendance at Prairie view.

Figuring out what it takes to persuade or successfully connect with an audience is probably the most important ability that a writer or speaker can possess. Communicating the message at hand is crucial in building an emotional connection to the audience, as well as, gaining credibility as a writer or speaker. Aristotle’s three means of persuasion or communication techniques: logos, pathos and ethos, when used effectively and all three together, builds the trust that is needed between a writer and her audience. Having worked in the court system for many years, I have seen first-hand, many attorneys carefully prepare their cases, eloquently deliver their message to the court and patiently wait for a response from their audience. This audience

I interviewed my principal at Luther Burbank School. She decided to share an ethical dilemma that occurred during her first year as a principal at the start of her career. The dilemma was that at the time her school district had decided to recruit Spanish speaking teachers from Spain. Four teachers were at her school site and a principal recommendation would be needed to continue at the school and with the school district. My principal had also been a teacher at this same school and was assigned as principal after the start of the year when the previous principal left on medical leave.
I have deep interests in worker’s rights, labor laws, public policy, and social justice initiatives in the workplace. These topics excite me because moving forward in these areas improves the personal lives of workers, workplace relations, and communities. My participation in debate club, Model U.S. Senate, the National Student Leadership Convention (NSLC) Political Action & Public Policy Program, and the Envision Intensive Law & Trial Program have shown me how important it is to research and discuss these issues from numerous viewpoints. These activities have not only expanded and solidified my interest in law and public policy, but have allowed me to closely examine issues from various perspectives, think logically, and work effectively in
Whenever I first began my law school search, SMU Dedman School of Law first caught my eye because of its academic reputation. Not only is it a well ranked school, but it has the resources and staff that will ensure my success as a lawyer. This is evident in the post-graduation employment statistics. There are many law schools that have high rankings but lack the high percent of graduates employed. This was especially important in my decision to apply to this law school.
Choosing between different colleges can be extremely difficult. So many different factors come into play that it seems impossible to make a right or wrong answer. Everything from tuition costs to the different majors offered can sway my decision from one college to another. I think that with the decision being between The University of Cincinnati and The Ohio State University my odds of being happy either way are very high because of the fact that both colleges have majors that I’m interested in and both have very close tuition/room and board costs. Both schools offer similar majors, so if I do end up going to one college over the other, I should be able to find a good major that is interesting to me.
I’m a finance major and I was still thoroughly intrigued with the entire process. Even though I don’t plan on being a lawyer, the process still resonated with me because it’s still very relevant to me. There is a huge legal aspect to business and this class and this assignment in particular really have helped me grasp that aspect a lot more. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to have had a trial related to big businesses, corporations.
