There are many positive attributes and assets that I possess. One of them is I am hard working; this will help our FFA chapter because I will venture to make a better and stronger chapter. Another positive attribute is I am reliable; I will strive to be at all of the meetings and activities that the chapter will bestow upon me. Last of all, I am a leader because I am passionate about the things I do while being open minded to the opinions of others. The FFA Chapter has many activities for members to participate in.
Statement on Research Research as a service to society has been always my main motivator; I realize that this may be considered naive, nevertheless it is the base of my commitment to the Land Grant University System. Although the impact of the Land Grant University System is very difficult to accurately measure with simple statistics, there is no doubt in mind (in agreement with many authors) that the research conducted in Universities like South Dakota State University (SDSU) is likely one of the main factors in the economic and technological development of the USA in the 20th century, and it is an example of the impact that universities could and should have to improve people’s lives around the World. I feel truly privileged to be able to
I am an active member in a wide variety of activities. I am very involved in 4-H and FFA. Through these clubs, I have participated in many community service projects. I work hard in the classroom and I’m very goal driven. I have a 3.14 GPA, and I strive to do better each and every day.
Single Parent to Graduate Student Enrolling in Northcentral University, NCU to obtain my graduate degree in education is one of accomplishment and a new beginning to a new career. I have always had a passion for indifference, injustice, and making a difference. I have an associate’s degree in computer science and a bachelor’s degree in Human and Family Services. I went from having a degree in computer science to a human service degree because of a family tragedy that made me evaluate my purpose in life as an individual. I am currently a case manager with a mental health/mental retardation organization and a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer.
I look forward to helping students to develop a drive for personal academic excellence and a rich perspective on the world around them as they explore links between the individual, society, and the natural world. The potential of secondary geography is to stimulate an interest in the wider world through learning knowledge, both in and beyond the classroom, and acquiring geographical and transferable skills to last a lifetime. I am currently studying a broad-based geography degree ranging from economic to cultural geography, but also including staples of classroom geography including development, coastal processes and volcanology. My subject knowledge is strong and wide-ranging and aligned to both current GCSE and A-Level specifications and
I will provide my well attentiveness towards my academics, and contribute my leaderships within the classroom. I am very enthused about leaning towards hands on learning, as I am well at visual presentational learning. My abilities to learn visually has allowed me to adapt qualities of well assured persistence with my work, and artistic crafts with fashion. I spend my spare time reviewing the latest trends, and building upon my own style through the great works of Detail and GQ magazine. I review the current trends, in order to visualize my own unique style by adding on more ideas as I wander my city of Washington, DC.
Personal Statement- Stephanie Olivera Growing up I was always the odd one in our family. When my parents started having children, they did not plan us very well. I am 5 years younger than my older brother, 4 years younger than my sister and 8 years older than my younger brother. I was the child that did not have anyone to "play" with, and I grew accustomed to being alone.
Eagerness to learn, attention to details, and willingness to put in required effort and time, all qualities I wish to continue to practice as a student in AP English 12. As a student of organization and willingness to participate in classroom discussions and interactions, I believe those attributes of me as a student set me up for success in this class. My enthusiasm in learning has been a leading factor in my decision to apply for this rigorous course my senior year. While there are other options available this is the course best suited for me due to my attention to details and readiness to dedicate time and effort into this class. As an AP English student I am mainly interested in continuing to practice and develop reading and writing skills
I am applying for admission to your MFA program in Studio Art because I wish to hone and develop my artistic vision and to forward a career teaching art. Growing up I always felt as if art were some strange sorcery that only certain people could wield, and as I came to have a greater understanding of art itself, I realized that art did have a certain power to it that cannot be replicated in any other medium. Art has the power to change the hearts and minds of people who view it. As a child of parents who were heavily involved within the justice system, I am very interested in standing up for people who have been oppressed, fixing the way that we treat people in this country, and ultimately repairing the schisms of hatred that come between people.
I have always had a passion for making a difference in others’ lives. From a young age my aspiration has to become a teacher, but I was not sure what level of education I would be best suited in. All through high school, I was involved in Best Buddies and Allied Sports which worked solely with students with disabilities. It brought me great joy to see them happy when people cared about them and even simply talked to them. It was not until about the end of my junior year in high school, I decided to explore different areas of education my senior year.
Personal Statement I am a zealous primary school teacher with ten years of teaching experience which reflects the dedication I have towards my profession. My keenness for learning and aspiration for career progression has motivated me to take up master level studies from a reputed world renowned university. It would polish my skills to use reflective, inspirational, and innovative strategies to impart knowledge to the smart generation of the digital era. Today’s children are living in a global village and to educate these children, teachers need to be trained with the skills necessary to support and prepare them for the future as responsible citizens. I am convinced that teachers with foreign qualification are more confident, have a deeper understanding of pedagogy, and are better equipped to facilitate student’s learning process.
The hunger crisis is not only a problem for the third world countries. Right now for every 10 people in America one is struggling with hunger that is over 50 million people and it is not just poor people. Some people are struggling with hunger due to making less nutritious meals or cheaper meals because they can’t afford the food to make the meals. In some ways hunger in America is very similar to other countries due to high unemplayment rates and people can’t afford to buy good heathly food or any food at all. But it is also very different than some countries like Africa where there is a severe drought with no way to import food and people can not grow food or the government is corrupt and take the food for themselves.
In addition to honing form, I needed to refine my writing style, developed for research papers, from scholastic to one less pedantic and more engaging. My plan was to transition from designer operative to a producer that actively defines problems and shapes strategy. As the deadline loomed, word count and ambiguity
I am interested in Iowa state university's graduate Ph.D. program because it is an exceptional and powerful program that will provide me the opportunity to broaden my skills by virtue of additional experience. In effect, it will further prepare myself for a sharper future in _bio, medicinal_chemistry research. As an undergraduate student at the University of Toledo, I am pursuing a major in medicinal biochemistry and am an active undergraduate researcher in a biochemistry lab studying tuberclulosis. My ideal research field includes biochemistry and drug development and design. It is captivating to consider the myriad of different molecules, enzymes, and reactions within the body to produce a certain effect and I find the mechanism in which
I want to further my education, on which I have begun to build with more than three years of work experience in the Information Technology (IT) field, by pursuing graduate studies in Engineering Management at The University of Texas at Austin. After graduating with Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University, I felt I should first gain some hands-on experience in learning and solving real life problems and in understanding the process flow in the IT area. I have enjoyed the three years of my work experience, especially the opportunity I got to be part of the innovative projects such as Advanced Battery development program which offers valuable features such as reporting, scheduling, etc. key to a scalable manufacturing system, used Site Minder as authorization or authentication middleware and so on.
