Marc Prensky Accomplishment-Based Education

They say that the key to a successful career or life, in general, is a quality education. It is all about education, which really makes it a sensitive matter for all of us. If we do not improve our education to push our kids to accomplish things they will need in the future, their future or even to help us in our present. But instead of that “we have kept our young people from accomplishing anything, we have forgotten what they are capable of.” This is what the author, Marc Prensky, is trying to explain in his article ”Accomplishment-Based Education,” published in 2014. Prensky was outspoken and worried at the same time of how Education and technology should be about students improving the real-world. The author is complaining about some people who still doubting the youth abilities theses days, and what are they capable of. Prensky believes that if people give the young people a chance they, definitely, will proof their selves.
However, the author brought up the most important point that is lots and lots of adults are afraid of, which is the generation that is now growing in a digital world might gain some negative perceives, “such as young people communicating through screens rather than face-to-face.” Also, the author encourages schools to give their students some freedom and real tasks to accomplish and they will very surprised of what …show more content…

“Why Our Current “Reforms” are Failures” this is was another point that the author discusses in this article. Teaching students content does not lead or prepare them for the real world. Even though some educators have now realized that they came up with problems and activities to raise the value of what they teaching students with, but this is not enough, because unfortunately, these problems and activities not connected to our reality.
