Marijuana has been around for many years, varying in reasons such as medical or recreational in many different countries like the U.S and China. Used as a trial state, Colorado was the first state to legalize marijuana, after it was outlawed in America for almost 80 years. marijuana is a drug used in many different ways as a narcotic or hallucinogen. “Once the marijuana is smoked, THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) and other chemicals in the plant goes into the bloodstream, the user will begin to experience a pleasant euphoria and a sense of relaxation in a matter of time” (Teen Rehab). Ethos is an appeal to ethics, and it is a means of convincing someone of the character or credibility of the persuader. There isn’t a credible person in the image to such much support to the cause despite the fact that they use a teenager to demonstrate the young generation and marijuana. A picture of a doctor or a congressman would have increase ethos in the picture. The last rhetorical used in the image being logos. The background which is of the Colorado flag is yellow and blue which the colors represent caution and inconsistency with change. Media who favors the legalization of marijuana of course says it’s the greatest thing as others states have followed in their footsteps.
