Marilyn Monroe is known for many things like being a sexual symbol, a blonde bombshell but not all people really know how she got there. Marilyn’s early life led to her career, which led to how she helped women in the actress, singing and model industry, which not everyone knows about. This essay will address how Marilyn Monroe was raised, how her career started, and how she helped women. Marilyn Monroe was born June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California. Her early life was somewhat rough with her mother. Her mother, Gladys Pearl Barker would always be confined in an asylum and Marilyn would end up with foster parents or for a time in an orphanage, her mom would try to see her but was confined right after. While her mom was released, she would openly announce how she disliked her acting career with Marilyn. Marilyn does a lot of nude photography and modeling. She signed her first contract with the “20th century fox” and after that she got into many, many acting spots like Asphalt Jungle, The Seven Year Itch, and The Prince And The Showgirl and more. She was known as the most iconic blonde and almost EVERYONE loved her. But during this time her mom was confined again and would send Marilyn letters to get her out, Marilyn never did. While this was happening, Marilyn had her own troubles while acting, modeling and singing that were masked but not gone.
