In Shakespeare's famous play, Romeo and Juliet, it displays the star-crossed love between two teenagers in Verona from rivaling families. Both of these lovers show selfless acts in the name of the “love” for each other. These acts range from going into the relationship too quickly to suicide to be together. Shakespeare displays many cases that “love” is an overwhelming emotion especially for adolescents, seeing that both Romeo and juliet go to extreme measures for each other and their feelings.
Love is an overwhelming emotion for everyone, but some get love confused with lust. When in lust things seem to move more quickly, that is happening with Romeo and juliet. The first day that they met Romeo exclaimed, “ Th’ exchange of thy love’s faithful

In result one of the risk that they take is taking their own lives. With a miscommunication between the two Romeo believes Juliet is dead and says “Come, cordial and not poison, go with me to juliet’s grave, for there must I use thee.” ( V.ii,90-91). For this miscommunication Romeo buys poison for him to consume next to Juliet so they can lie dead together. When Romeo reaches his “dead” Juliet, he says “And, lips, O, you the doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss a dateless bargain to engrossing death.” (V,iii.113-115). Romeo is taking his last loving kiss from his beloved and is ready to join her in death, but what he doesn't know is that she is not dead. If he wasn’t so irrational and would have waited just a little longer he could have seen juliet come alive again. As for when Juliet wakes from her sleep like death and sees her husband dead, then Juliet adds to the situation and says “ O, happy dagger, this is thy sheath. There rust, and let me die.” (V.iii,174-175). After waking and seeing Romeo dead, juliet takes his dagger and stabs herself leaving her dead next to her love. They both were heart broken that they wouldn’t be able to live with each other so they decided to be dead
