Mission & Vision. The Oho Christian University Mission Statements states, “Oho Christian University prepares students to serve effectively in the church and society by providing a holistic, Christ-centered, biblically integrated education in the Wesleyan tradition (“OCU”, 2017).” Although, the mission statement is a wonderful goal, as a prospective student it may be difficult to understand and digest the meaning until they become a student. The OCU vision is to prepare Christian servant leaders that will impact the world in a meaningful way (“OCU”, 2017).

Jesus, after being born from the virgin Mary and God sets off on his adventure to help the world, spread the word of God and gain followers. He goes around to do what he thinks is helping
The first focus in the University of Charleston’s mission statement is productive work (Ucwv.edu, Mission. 2018). The University of Charleston define productive work as “trying to contribute a positive improvement or impact to society throughout your life” (Ucwv.edu, Mission. 2018). The LLOs that best help us to achieve this focus are communication, creativity, and critical thinking. Communicating is a very important part of productive work because it lays the basics for strong communication to be built upon. If there is poor communication productive work cannot be achieved.
The profits had been preparing for years for the birth of the Messiah. Jesus grew up fulfilling his destiny. He wanted to teach the world about a better way of life. His ultimate goal was to sacrifice Himself for our sins. He traveled and preached to thousands.
And thirdly, it is the Gospel of Jesus Christ that is to be taught on this biblical missionary assignment. The Gospel is the Death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The gospel must include that humanity is justified before God in the believing in Jesus Christ. In Acts chapter 13, we see the church gathering together to seek the desires of God in sending missionaries throughout the region. The missionaries
Similar to Prometheus, Jesus was crucified for trying to save mankind by spreading new ideas. Jesus had founded Christianity and was trying to spread his ideas as a new way of life for the people. However, this made the Gospels upset because Jesus had betrayed their
Jesus preaches to the disciples giving them a list of blessings which are known as the Beatitudes. He conveys the message in a way that is out of love for them. If they follow his teachings they will be closer to getting salvation in the Kingdom of Heaven and therefore living a life of meaning and purpose. As said in Chapter 5 of the Gospel According to Matthew, “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven“(p. 50).
Our text explains that the source of Mission is not of man, rather it is from God and is “rooted in the very nature of God” (Van Rheenen 14). This concept is explained throughout the complete Bible. In the Old Testament God’s love is shown to man by seeking restoration between himself and fallen man. Of course, the New Testament displays his love by sending Jesus into the world. By contrast, “missions “ is the “plans of committed believers to accomplish the mission of God” (Van Rheenen 20).
Jesus gathered His disciples around Him in a high place near the Sea of Galilee; His purpose was to teach the way of discipleship for those who had made a commitment
He set the example as his 12 apostles who would go on to spread the word of God after his death. His teachings lent itself greatly to his follower’s ability to evangelize nonbelievers, as reaching out towards others went hand in hand with Jesus’ message of love for one’s fellow man. The contrast between God in the Old Testament and Jesus is most evident in the writings of the Torah and the New Testament when comparing the acts of destruction wrought upon those who opposed his word and the kindness, which Jesus showed to repenting sinners. Jesus was able to change the way God was perceived as a vengeful god to a loving and forgiving god.
This short neat easy to digest message misses the passion. John did not leave the passion out, we leave out verses 17 through 21. I will not leave out the heart of Jesus when sharing
Jesus came to earth on a mission, he wanted to inspire and teach people about the power of following God’s commands. Jesus is more than just our savior, he is our guide and the gospel that shows this best is Matthew’s. The Gospel of Matthew is clear and powerful when describing the pedagogy of Jesus. He did not spend his time in a room lecturing people, he did not force people to listen to him and he did not come with a prepared discussion topic on note cards. Jesus simply stood in crowds preaching how important living the way growing closer to god each day is, and Matthew did a great job capturing that.
He [Jesus] proclaimed? We have already seen that primarily our Lord preached the good news about the coming kingdom. In that kingdom, yet to be established, there will be spiritual and material deliverance. People get sidetracked when they attempt to impose kingdom ethics on the world today without the physical presence of the King. The Christian is responsible to practice church ethics, not kingdom ethics.
Purpose statements play a central role in building and understanding scholarly research. For instance, a fundamental aspect of the purpose statement as a scholarly research shapes how the authors select and address their audience, the criteria in which the research will be judged, and the implications for how you will conduct the research (Laureate Education, 2016). These details highlight how the purpose statement represents more than the researcher’s intentions. For example, the study Hand Performance and Beliefs Among Public University Employees (Stedman-Smith, DuBois, & Grey, 2015) identify two purposes for this study. The first purpose to build on related research to gather a more generalized understanding of hand hygiene behaviors based
