Bethel college prices themselves on service. The college encourages their students to get out into the community and help people that are unable to help themselves. Bethel college strives for each student to express compassion for people that are in need. In the book Outcasts United, Luma expresses compassion from the very start of the novel.

Howard University is a predominantly black school, expressing excellence, leadership, truth and service I could contribute to the legacy of Howard University in many ways. Growing up I've always wanted to gain the experience of a historically black college or university. As a member of the National Beta Club we promote the ideals of academic achievement and leadership. Being apart of the National Beta Club caused me to strive for my goals and take leadership in all that I do. The mission statement states "To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students."

A majority of all HBCUs contain the core values of leadership and pride. Among all of America's remarkable HBCUs, Howard University exhibits academic and community strength through its long list of achievements and successfulness in shaping its scholars with generous programs in science, politics, and good-willed morals, making them the best HBCU in America for me. In the year 1866, 10 members of the congregational society came together for a missionary meeting, establishing their whereabouts on the future university they would soon establish. Howard University was originally aimed at training African Americans into preachers, giving them education in all aspects of God and social justice. Howard has shown its restless devotion to the black and brown community through their core values and leaders.
Regent University allows students to grow both academically and spiritually into Christian leaders that will greatly impact the world to advance the Kingdom of God. Regent not only teaches students, but they also equip students to fulfill the Great Commission; which is to go out and teach the nations about Jesus. My vision after graduating from Regent is to heal God’s broken people through a holistic approach; addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual needs through the formation of a nonprofit organization. A MA in Practical Theology would enable me to teach and minister from an outreach approach; sometimes teaching to the homeless in the streets, other times reaching those in shelters, and also those broken within the church. This demographic appeals to me, because I know what it feels like to be broken and lost; and I further understand the power that is in Jesus and his ability to restore and heal.
The mission statement and values of Holy Family University exhibit many essential principles to both the administration and the world around us. These values, including family, respect, integrity, service and responsibility, learning, and vision can have a strong impact on the student body and our community. Students attending Holy Family can gain a full understanding of the fundamentals which contribute to the core values and the school itself. At least one of these core values can help you overcome a problem you may stumble upon from day to day. This can include helping another peer in one way or another in the classroom, showing respect to your professors and peers, and even taking part in the presidential election outside of school.
"We reconcile students to Christ, equipping them through Spirt-filled communities of prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship and mission to transform the university, the marketplace, and the world. " This is the mission statement of the one organization that I knew before I started college that I wanted to be a part of throughout my KU journey. This organization has been my home away from home, my sanctuary, and my family. It has helped me grow tremendously both spiritually and in maturity in the short time I have been at KU. Chi Alpha is a campus ministry comprised of appointed leaders and college age students.
I have always had an interest in the ministry of Jesus Christ. I grew up in a Christian church as a child and when I was 19 I was ordained as a minister of the gospel. I never want to stop growing and maturing in the word of God. I seek to take advantage of Regent University’s in-depth understanding of the Old and New Testament. I am looking forward to taking my theological studies to a brand-new level.
The first focus in the University of Charleston’s mission statement is productive work (Ucwv.edu, Mission. 2018). The University of Charleston define productive work as “trying to contribute a positive improvement or impact to society throughout your life” (Ucwv.edu, Mission. 2018). The LLOs that best help us to achieve this focus are communication, creativity, and critical thinking. Communicating is a very important part of productive work because it lays the basics for strong communication to be built upon. If there is poor communication productive work cannot be achieved.
1 Corinthians 10:31 states, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (The New International Version Study Bible, 2011). CCU exemplifies this objective in many ways. First, the strategic objectives demonstrated through the staff and their interactions with the students regardless of the stage they’re at in their journey towards higher education. This stood out to me as I was planning to get re-enrolled with my classes as I had to take a break due to military commitments. The staff reached out to me first, which encouraged me to get started and to continue what I started years prior.
Specifically, the element of Catholic higher education that most appeals to me is the holistic transformation that takes place not only academically but also psychologically as well as spiritually. I envision the holistic development impacting my experience at USD by further
Coyote Canyon Elementary School’s mission statement states, "Every child valued, challenged, and successful... whatever it takes” (School Accountability Report Card, 2017). Within a high poverty-school where over 50 percent of the students are economically disadvantaged, 72 percent of students are people of color, and 17 percent of students are English language learners, the goal of making every student feel valued seems like a tall task. However, the last portion of the mission statement is something that should be strived for by every educator. Teachers should do, “whatever it takes” to make sure that every single one of their students has the ability and opportunity to create a bright future for their students.
