Illustrate By adjusting the customer service level the marketing mix can improve by many reasons. The most important reason as defined in the book is the Customer Relationship Process which allows companies to prioritize their marketing focus on different customer groups according to each group’s long term value to the company or supply chain (McDaniel, MKTG 7, 2014). During the Introductory stage of the personal computer IBM launched their version of the personal computer in August of 1981. The first computer clone came out the following year in 1982 (DOMINGO, 2011). Which brings us to the growth stage of the product life cycle. Many different companies started to develop their own versions of the personal computer giving competition to the bigger companies like IBM and Apple to manufacture computers used for different reasons. This increased the marketing mix of the personal computer greatly. Personally I do not think that the personal computer has begun to reach the other stages of the product life cycle yet. We have yet to step into the Mature or Decline stage. Because the Personal computer can come in many different forms such as the traditional Desktop, the Laptop, Tablets, Hand held devices such as phones and PDA’s the personal computer is still in the growth stage. I feel that the growth stage will be a long process as we are discovering new uses for them every day. Because of this the Marketing Mix for the Personal Computer is very large. Many companies such as Dell have dwelled deep into the customer service aspects also furthering their marketing mix and introducing new types of computers such as Alien Ware which a personal computer aimed towards customers who tend to play PC …show more content…

One major advantage is that you don’t have to leave your home, you don’t have to stand in long lines or rummage through countless racks of clothes to find what you are looking for. Unlike in store shopping most companies have a search option that will allow to directly type the name of the product that you are looking for specifically and bring up all options for that search query. Most places that offer e-tailing tend to have cheaper prices saving money for the customers (McDaniel H. /., 2014). Some online stores also have an online chat option where you can ask a real person any question about the product you are looking at and any other important information that one might need. Customers can also shop different stores at the same time allowing them to compare prices and pick the product that best fits them most quickly. There are some disadvantages to shopping online for clothes. Some might be the wait time for shipping. The extra cost it takes to have your purchase arrive to you faster or on time. Some clothes sizes may differ depending on the brand of clothing. One might be thinking that they are receiving the size they are used to and when they receive the product it’s smaller or bigger than it should be. Shipments may become damaged or lost making the wait time longer. If the product was somehow damaged during the shipping process you might have to pay extra to send it back and again wait longer for another
