Mass Marketing is a technique designed to sell products with a superior image to a broad audience by means of mass dissemination or mass communication. Mass advertising is designed to reach a large number of people through different channels such as television, media, radio, and internet. In advertising the objective is to seek a response from large target audiences in order to sell, notify, or promote new or existing products and services (Kotler, & Keller, 2016). Advertising strategies have changed over time to conform to societies trends and reach broad mass markets. In addition to catching a large audience this strategy can potentially he hazardous if the viewer does not concentrate on driving or walking. The second strategy is to occupy the territory. This strategy of mass advertisement is used to get the attention of the public by advertising in a stadium or on a building of a large well-known company. For instance, apple advertises it new IPhone on several stadium platforms so viewers can see the new products the company has to offer. Although, this can be a great way to advertise, occupying an aid on a major business territory can be very expensive. The third strategy in old advertising is to pay for attention. This strategy focuses interrupting mass markets regularly scheduled activities. For example, a viewer is watching their favorite television program. The viewer can fast forward the advertisement by using a digital video recorder technology to get rid of advertisements so that programs can be watched without interruption. The viewers that listen to radio advertising and watch television ads have the ability to shut off or block or avoid advertisement from this strategy. The fourth strategy in old mass advertising is to give it away.
