I knew at an early age that I wanted something that would be beneficial to me, my family and for the society. In kindergarten, my top three goals were to go to college to earn a degree, have a career, and be successful. At this point, I had a plan of how I wanted my life to go. After that, I started to have an interest in math and computer technology. Those was my favorite classes going up. When I started high school, I knew I needed to seriously think what exactly I wanted to do with my life. I still had an interest in math and technology. So, I realize, in my third year of high school, I wanted to go in engineering. I stayed focus while in high school and determined to go to college. My hard work paid off and I graduated from high school …show more content…
I never gave up even though the classes was hard. I carried what I learned in high school of managing my time wisely to pass each and every class at the first time. In the mist of studying engineering, my interest in computers blossomed. So, I decided to focus on computer engineering. After all the hard work and dedication, I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, program focus in Computer Engineering. However, after going to college, I realize there was so much more to learn. I developed an interest in programming while at Wayne State. So, I decided to go to University of Michigan – Dearborn to study for a Master’s degree in Software …show more content…
I joined the Summer Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) program in Real-Time Systems the summer of [year]. I worked with a professor and a doctoral student to create a robotic toy car. My contribution was testing the different features of the car (motor, sensor, motion, etc.). We worked together to write a paper titled: Real-Time Multi-Modal Implementation of a Robotic Toy Car [citation]. At the end, I was able to go to the IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium RTSS 2012 in Puerto Rico. For my next research project, I worked with one of my professors (my mentor) and his doctoral student to enhance liquid lens. My contribution was to create a simulation using COMSOL Multiphysics software to measure the application of voltage and a water droplet. For this project, I authored a paper titled: Enhancing Liquid Lens Using Electrowetting and Graphene Material [citation]. These experiences gave me quite a diverse background in engineering and computer science. Pursing a doctoral degree, would let me make an impact on the world. Radical changes happens every day with technology. Artificial intelligence are helping us with basic needs around the house and at our jobs. With technology going into this direction, I would like to build upon it. I want to focus on operation system of today and build on it with android. How we use cell phones today, will be different how we would use it in the
